Blog not found on Google: how to act ?
After hours of coding, writing, and optimizing, you can finally get your blog live.
But now you can't find it on Google ? How is it possible ?
First, note that to make a new article visible on its search engine, Google needs about 2 days. So understand that for a website it can take much longer, up to a week.
So, if your site has just been created, don't worry! And if it's been several weeks, follow the few tips below
How does Google search work ?
In order for content to appear on Google, it has to enter a huge database that is robotically fed and updated. This robot starts by detecting a link, then browses through the content.
If they see another link embedded in the content, they go through that as well, and the process repeats over and over again.
Why is my website not showing up on Google ?
1. Check that your site can be indexed
Sometimes a little overlooked detail can have a big influence on the indexing of your blog.
Robots.txt is the first file that Google's robot visits to find out which web pages to track and index.
2. Detect a Google penalty
It is quite possible that your blog is one of the sites penalized by Google (but this case is much rarer). To detect this anomaly, enter your blog address in the search bar. If nothing is displayed, your blog has been penalized by Google.
3. Do the right research with the right keywords
If your site isn't visible on the first page of Google, then maybe it is visible on the second or third page? In fact, a site can be embedded among a wide variety of other sites, especially if there is competition for the keywords used.
4. Exceed your crawl budget
But first, what is the Crawl budget? This is a key (and often overlooked) concept in SEO. Crawler means scanner and this action is performed by the famous Google robot. Many types of crawlers exist: ads, images, mobile, search, videos ...
5. Create poorly optimized articles on Google
For a blog to rank well (and therefore visible on Google), you must apply SEO optimizations to your articles.
